Watch the seasons roll over the Hudson River from this classic waterfront home in Newcomb. This stretch of river is boatable right into Lake Harris, though you may have to tilt the outboard once. This 4-season house would make a good basecamp or full-time home with three bedrooms, two full baths, many closets, a large basement with a second living room, laundry, storage rooms, and two sleeping rooms. (Not bedrooms for lack of egress.) The house is warm, well-built, and well-appointed, BUT the river is why you're here. From the kitchen, watch migratory birds, storms, and the fluctuations of the wild Hudson as it heads from the High Peaks to the Hudson Gorge; step onto the deck for coffee or head down to fish, paddle, boat, or even swim. But be careful; living here, you may get swept away.
