About Schroon Lake

Located at exit 27 and 28 of the interstate and made famous when the film “Marjorie Morningside” based on the novel by Herman Wouk was filmed at the Scaroon Manor on the western shore of this 8 mile long lake. The Manor is long gone but you can still see the outdoor amphitheater on the grounds of the state park that now occupies the site.

The quaint village offers many shops and restaurants including the Morningstar Cafe and Flanagan’s Tavern. Enjoy concerts in the town park overlooking the lake every week. Just a few miles south of the village don’t miss the Cafe Adirondack right across from Glendale Road just north of Pottersville. Better make a reservation.
